Finance and Administration
The Finance Department performs all accounting and finance functions for the Hamlet, including bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, preparation of budgets & financial statements, cash-flow management, financial reporting and assisting auditors with our annual audit.
The department is responsible for ensuring that all Municipal financial affairs are in compliance with internal management and Council policy, as well as the external requirements of federal and territorial agencies and legislation. Additionally, the Finance Department handles procurement, office rental and asset management, and keeps Council informed through presentations to both the Finance Committee and Council directly. Finance also assists the SAO with the human resources function, and is charged with maintaining confidentiality of financial information, personnel records and confidential contract information.
