Clyde River District Education Authority/Quluaq School

The District Education Authority (DEA) of Clyde River has over the years played a significant role in ensuring that the Inuit language, culture and knowledge are assimilated in the curriculum and activities of the local school – Quluaq School.

The DEA is elected by residents of the community to make decisions about issues impacting education and the operations of the local school.   Its members also represent Clyde River parents, students and the community in general to the Nunavut Department of Education – Qikiqtani School Operations on policy and operational issues.

Quluaq School is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 School which currently has approximately 270 students.
