Christmas/New Year Games

Every year, the Hamlet hosts what has now become a “Clyde River Entertainment Staple” which runs for two weeks during the Christmas festivity. Community members of all ages participate in nightly games at the Community Hall. This two-week event culminates with an Annual race in three categories – Kids, Adults and Elders. Lots of games, prizes and surprises.

Christmas Community Feast

Sharing our country food (caught or hunted) with each other has been an important lesson passed on from generation to generation. These events are just two days out of the year that the entire community come together to celebrate our delicacies – caribou, seal, narwhal, walrus and arctic char. Join us at the Quluaq School Gymnasium for an unforgettable feast.

Christmas Gift Giving

This special time of year for sharing love and spreading joy extends to all children in the community.  They need no labels – naughty or nice – is not a requirement.  Every child in the community is given a special gift on Christmas Day so that we can see the beautiful smiles on their faces. Join us with your children at the Community Hall in the afternoon on Christmas Day to pick up their specially selected gift packages.

Fondly called trick or treat. This event is all about the children. Every child will be gifted with a variety pack of treats. How about entering the costume contest?  There is one for all age group.  It is not over yet. Participate in the games where you can win awesome prizes.  These activities will take place at the Community Hall.
